Chiropratic Therapy

Chiropractic Therapy

Chiropractic is defined as a system of integrative medicine which is based upon the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are held to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs. Chiropractic care, as we know it, originated in 1895 when Daniel David Palmer performed the first chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard. The result of this was the restoration of Mr. Lillard’s hearing.

Over time, many different techniques of chiropractic care have emerged from the well known Diversified technique and Applied Kinesiology to the most popular instrument based technique, known as Activator Methods to lesser known techniques such as Trigenics technique or Chiropractic Plus Kinesiology. Dr. Post has studied a number of techniques and uses some of each of these chiropractic techniques in order to obtain the best results as quickly as possible.

Chiropractic therapy is a branch of physical medicine where the practitioner works with the bones, joints, and muscles of the body to reduce pain and improve health.

No matter what the chiropractic technique or techniques being used, the main goal of all treatments is to improve the motion of the joints adjusted so that pain and inflammation decreases, range of motion improves and nerve impingement (pressure on nerves) lessens or goes away. When these things happen, the body is able to function better and your health can significantly improve as a result.

Dr. Post typically mixes a few different treatment techniques and therapies during your treatment so that you improve much more quickly. The treatments are comprehensive and very detail oriented so that important issues are not missed. This results in much better outcomes than if he were to use a “cookie-cutter” approach, doing the same exact thing for each and every patient. I’ve seen what happens when other chiropractors do that…you have to be set up on a long, expensive treatment plan that may or may not work for you. Try Dr. Post’s comprehensive, thorough,  and individualized approach to and start feeling better far more quickly.

Due to how thorough the treatments are, typical treatment times run about 20 minutes. Over the last five years, experience has shown that approximately 98% of patients feel better before they leave the office during their first visit. This is the goal for every visit: rapid pain relief, better motion, and better function – every single time.
